Take a look at www.GainesvilleDance.com to see some of what we are doing with DotNetNuke as a content management system for websites.
Have not done any work yet with the appearance, only the functionality. Am starting to look into making skins for the DotNetNuke to change the look.
DNN is a powerful tool, because of the ease of updating, the built in search engine optimization (SEO) and the large amount of functionality.
For the newsletter we are using Aweber. We also use Constant Contact. Both are excellent and neither allows spamming, so your delivery is more likely to go through. Aweber has autoresponders, which is great for following up with your audience.
Also take a look at some of these other examples.
www.InternetHandholding.com - after each article you will see a number, which is the number of visitors. Since DotNetNuke automatically notifies web services of new postings, we have been getting a lot of visitors without doing any other article submissions, only posting to this website. You can see that these articles get hit right away. www.DotNetNuke.bz is another similar one.
www.DGaffney.com - under the About page there is a Survey. This customer was able to set up this survery himself with no help or instructions.
www.VeraJoffe.com - see the Store for how she is selling her books. The store layout is customizable. Also see how she is posting articles and getting visitors. She is not doing any other marketing.
These are powerful marketing tools.
