Heads up. If you are involved with patents....or might be, you need to get educated on the new patent laws and their impact on inventors and patent holders.  Some of the provisions of the America Invents Act are effective now.  Others will be effective March 2013.  One major change is that from the old "first-to-invent" system to a "first inventor-to-file" system.  A consequence is that the old methods of handling disclosures to others prior to filing for patents create new risks now.   The…See More
