GAIN’s Programs & Events

GAIN offers a variety of programs and events to Inspire, Connect and Educate, including:

• Online

  Through our website, GAINnet, we offer a networking platform for innovators, entrepreneurs and those that support them. GAINnet was the first local online network of its kind in the country and is home to over 1200 participants ready to make connections that will advance the innovation community in and around Gainesville. In addition to being a platform for connecting, GAINnet also offers inspiring and educational content through blogs, podcasts and forum discussions. Please join in and share your knowledge, stories and perspectives so others can benefit!

  Most content is available to all GAINnet members for free, although some content is reserved especially for our Stakeholders (paid members). Please consider becoming a stakeholder today.

   

• Open Events

  GAIN sponsors over a dozen events a year that are open to the public. These include monthly luncheons with interesting guest speakers telling about their entrepreneurial journey. Our Fast Pitch event in the spring helps start-up entrepreneurs introduce their ideas to the community and get feedback in a fast-paced, fun environment. The GAIN Shootout in the fall allows emerging start-ups a chance to present to investors and others while competing for cash and prizes. Gain is also proud to be a sponsor of the monthly Start-up Hour and other events through the year.

  GAIN’s open events usually require a small fee, but Stakeholders (paid members) receive a discount. The discounts through the year more than offset the cost of being a Stakeholder, so consider becoming one today!

   

• Stakeholder-only events

  For GAIN Stakeholders we offer GAIN Unplugged, smaller events that are closed to the public, are either free or minimal cost, and provide small group access to successful entrepreneurs, area experts like lawyers and accountants, well-known innovators visiting town, and others. This can be a priceless benefit for entrepreneurs looking for advice, mentoring or just inspiration. Consider becoming a Stakeholder today!
