Social Entrepreneurship Meetup in December 2011?

Hey everyone! I would like to propose the idea of having a meetup of sorts for people who are involved in or interested in social entrepreneurship in the Gainesville area. This can be existing profit or non profit start-ups, investors looking to fund more 'social' ventures, people with ideas for new initiatives, and other folks interested in the idea of doing social good through creative innovation.

 

It would be a time where we could share ideas and hear news on what people are up to, and most especially meet each other in person... I just feel like moving beyond a simple message board to something more dynamic.

 

So, if this sounds interesting to you and you would be up for a meetup (think coffee and/or drinks) sometime in December 2011, please reply with an affirmative comment!

I am all for this.  It's interesting timing, too -- I feel like I am meeting a lot of people who are interested in talking more about social entrepreneurship.

 

Would also be glad to grab coffee with you to get to know you and brainstorm.
