I have always been interested in how many of you consider yourselves "web marketers"? Traditionally, Gainesville marketing has had event planning and promotions at its backbone, but with companies like Grooveshark and many other smaller ventures entering the market -- I am wondering how quickly we are adapting ourselves to this burgeoning new market.

If you consider yourself a "web marketer," what would you say that your specialty is? SEO? Social Media? Interface/UI Design? Public Relations? Some combination?

This is a very interesting point, about web marketing specialization. As principal of a communications and design firm, I am forced to be a generalist, and know something about "everything" (tongue in cheek here) and to keep building the depth and diversity of my network so I have reliable in-depth knowledge close by...I've also become fond of the marketingprofs.com webinars. As far as web marketing in Gainesville, I am alway eager for local search secrets, so as not to compete online with the whole world...If I had to pick a specialty Interface / UI Design would rank high, as I love helping people navigate and browse information.
