Comment by Jonathan Lourie on November 1, 2010 at 12:08pm: US DOJ backs ACLU on Myriad gene patenting case in conflict with longstanding positions held by the United States Patent Office and the NIH. Have not read the amicus brief yet but I am a little surprised they weighed in at this stage given the long standing positions of the other US agencies and the reliance by biotech companies on the past position at the USPTO.
