Developed the philantropic business model that solves the problem.

The Ichetucknee is a magical place indeed. The Timucuan People made it their provincial capital thousands of years ago and today we visit to rejuvenate and feel inspired. I have learned that there is no new water...the Earth's water is a finite resource...the same water you floated in is the same water the dinosaurs splashed in a million years ago and the same water the Timucuan People fished! We just keep recycling it.
The Ichetucknee is my symbolic river...its flow is down and its balance is off.
We all love this river and identify with it on so many levels. The Blue Path invites Floridians to learn more about our springs and spring fed rivers...these incredible ecosystems that are now the canaries in our watery coal mine.
As they go, so go we. Thanks Rhonda, for this beautiful description of an Ichetucknee encounter.

Last Friday we spent the day on the Santa Fe at the confluence with the Ichetucknee. My friend Shaun and I walked upstream on the Iche. The optical illusion experience of the crystal water was fantastic--it looked/felt like that graph showing how massive stars warp the space-time continuum, because it always looked as if you were walking up into shallower water. I really feel for the spawning salmon of the world, because the brief experience of working against the flow of that much water was very tiring. When I could fight no more, we turned around, put on our masks and snorkels and floated back down to the confluence (I love this word!) on our life vests. The return trip was over so quickly! A wonderful day spent in Florida's Eden. Rejuvenating and perspective altering, too! Thanks, Annie, for your vision and passion.
