Yesterday, I moderated a panel discussion, The Good, Bad and Ugly of Business Plans, for GAIN's inaugural Shootout event. The panelists, David Day, Fred Hutchinson, Kevin Oligby and David Pierson, in their answers to my questions, kept circling back to two common recommendations. First, tech entrepreneurs need to be realistic. Second, they need to show they’vedone their homework and are knowledgeable about how the real world of venture
capital and tech startups works. So how do tech entrepreneurs get smarter? Where can they go online to get better educated? What good, free-of-charge websites are available to help them? Give your recommendations.
