Alachua County Sustainability Office announced their Solar Readiness: Solar Energy & Efficiency Workshop to be held on Saturday morning July 28th from 10am to 12pm (2 hours) at the Alachua County administration building in downtown Gainesville, Fla. This workshop is free to all Alachua County residents. The workshop agenda and registration is available at www.SolarReadiness.com.
The Solar Readiness Team will present the basics of solar electric and hot water systems, operational efficiency for ideal energy consumption, solar off-set calculations, solar resource and site assessment principles, project cost identifiers, return-on-investment concepts and available solar and efficiency financing methods.
With the cost of solar PV panels reaching an all-time low, attendees will discover that going solar can be a cash-positive experience with long-term return.
