iG Display at the Gainesville Regional Airport

Have you been to the airport lately?  Allen Penksa, CEO of the Gainesville Regional Airport, introduces the new interactive Innovation Gainesville display at the airport's baggage carousel.   http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=fQOBfNQ4FB8.  The display currently features the Innovation Gainesville video, a message from FloridaWorks and a spot for a quarterly Featured Innovator.

UF’s Office of Technology Licensing  Makes YouTube Debut With Introductory Video

 Check out OTL’s new video (http://www.research.ufl.edu/otl/about.html), also on YouTube. The video explains the concept of technology transfer to a wider audience as part of OTL’s new web marketing efforts.

Alachua Company Enters Global Technology Partnership
Pasteuria Bioscience, Inc., was founded in 2003 in the University of Florida's Sid Martin Biotechnology Incubator where it remains headquartered.  The company was developed to commercialize its revolutionary technology for production of biological nematode control products based on the Pasteuria platform.  The first Pasteuria-based product Econem® was commercialized in 2010 for sting nematode control in the golf and sports turf markets.  

Pasteuria Bioscience has announced that it has entered into an exclusive global technology partnership with Syngenta, a world leader in agri-business focusing on sustainable agriculture.  The agreement will allow for the development of innovative bio-nematicide products based on Pasteuria spp., a naturally-occurring soil bacteria long recognized as a promising biological control agent against nematodes.   http://www.gainesville.com/article/20110629/ARTICLES/110629464.

Alachua-Based Florida Biologix to Manufacture Cancer Therapy

Florida Biologix is the manufacturing arm of the University of Florida Center of Excellence for Regenerative Health Biotechnology established by Gov. Jeb Bush and the Florida Legislature in 2003 to support biotech.  Based in Progress Corporate Park, they are set to manufacture a therapy to be used in clinical trials.   http://www.gainesville.com/article/20110629/ARTICLES/110629465.
