GAIN Monthly Luncheon Speaker Series-Wednesday, August 29, 2012 Speaker: Mr. Peter Marchiony, Director of Sales, ShoWare, Inc.

About our Guest Speaker:  Mr. Marchiony, began his business career in sales and marketing with ITT Corporation’s Data Services working with large frame IBM systems. After 12 years with ITT, he joined Singer Information Services as a Regional Sales Manager. For 4 years, his primary duty was to developed sales in the eastern United States. In 1977, he accepted a position with Ticketron, Inc. During his 13 years with Ticketron, Mr. Marchiony rose to the position of Vice President of Business Development and held several other key management positions in sales and marketing in the Sports and Entertainment and Automated Wagering (Florida Lottery) Units. In 1991, he joined Select Ticketing Systems as Vice President of Sales and Marketing. While working for Select Ticketing Systems, he directed the company’s entry into the new technology of electronic event management and kiosk outlet ticketing operations. In addition, Mr. Marchiony built a ticketing sales force adding numerous national / marquee clients to Select Ticketing’s business base. In 1996, Mr. Marchiony accepted a position with Lasergate Systems as General Manager. His duties were to concentrate on the new regions of Canada and the northeastern area of the United States. While at Lasergate, Mr. Marchiony was instrumental in developing and pioneering new event management and ticketing technologies for the entertainment industry. In 2001, Mr. Marchiony joined MAXtix, Inc. a highly innovative ticketing company employing “Browser Technologies (forerunner to “Cloud Systems”) to deliver full featured internet event management and ticketing based systems. Currently, Mr. Marchiony is Director of Sales and Marketing at ShoWare, Inc. an international event management and ticketing company.  Mr. Marchiony graduated from Fairleigh Dickinson University in New Jersey with a Bachelor of Science degree in Marketing. Mr. Marchiony is married and has two children.  Having lived and worked most of his career in the New York City metropolitan area, he is now a resident of Florida.
